My Take

Petar Musa is the rare entry here I get to watch unfold in real time rather than in retrospect. A 190-centimeter striker out of Zagreb, he has been banging in goals for FC Dallas in Major League Soccer and has earned his way into the Croatia national team. Cracking that squad, the same pipeline that produced Modric and a generation of overachievers, is no small feat for any forward. I suspect there is more touch and mobility in his game than his frame suggests. He is still writing his story, and I am genuinely curious to see whether a World Cup stage brings the goals out of him.
