Riho Yoshioka

I'll admit Riho Yoshioka got me with the classic bait-and-switch: those big round eyes and that soft, sunny smile lull you into thinking she's just a cozy little ray of sunshine, and then the camera rolls and she flips a switch and suddenly there's real steel behind the cuteness. That's the fun of her. The Kyoto kid who looks like pure gentle charm but clearly works like a machine, bouncing from gravure to actual dramatic chops to chatty radio host to that warm narration voice without breaking a sweat. The range is honestly a little unfair. She picked up an Elan d'Or newcomer award and never coasted on the "adorable" card, which I respect. She reads like the person everyone in the neighborhood quietly adores, equal parts nerve and warmth, and I'm rooting for her like a proud relative.
