My Take
RM is the rare frontman who leads with words rather than spectacle. What draws me to him is the throughline from the Korean underground rap scene to fronting one of the biggest acts on earth: he never stopped writing. As a student he wrote poetry and won awards for it. In interviews and speeches he comes across as articulate and genuinely thoughtful, and I suspect that steadiness is exactly why BTS translated so well abroad. Rapper, producer, songwriter, spokesperson, he carries multiple roles without losing the sense that, underneath it all, he is a writer first.
