My Take
Sahra Wagenknecht is the kind of political figure I cannot look away from, regardless of where one lands on her ideas. Born in Jena in the former East Germany, trained as an economist, and active as an author and journalist, she argues from intellectual conviction rather than poll-tested slogans. I value politicians who plant a flag and defend it with rigour, even when it makes them inconvenient to their own side. Her long presence in German politics speaks to a substance that outlasts trends. Agree or disagree, she forces a real argument, and that, to me, is genuinely useful.
