My Take
What draws me to Samuel Benchetrit is that he refuses to pick a single lane. Novelist, screenwriter, director, actor, recognized with a literary prize in 2009, he seems to carry the same images across every medium he touches. Born in the Paris suburbs, he brings an unfussy yet emotionally grounded eye to human stories that I find quietly compelling. Plenty of multitalented people spread themselves thin, but Benchetrit strikes me as someone who deepens with each project rather than scattering. I respect creators who treat versatility as a way to see one truth from many angles, and that is exactly how he reads to me.
