Sindhu Vee

Sindhu Vee is my kind of late bloomer. A New Delhi native who worked in investment banking before stepping onto the stand-up stage in mid-life, she turns family, marriage and the immigrant experience into warm, sharp comedy. Her turn as Mrs. Phelps in Matilda the Musical showed that same generous warmth on screen. What I admire most is the courage to abandon a stable career for the uncertainty of the microphone, and to do it as an Indian-British woman carving space in comedy. I root wholeheartedly for people brave enough to reinvent their lives.
