My Take

"Benz" Hui was a true institution of Hong Kong screen acting, and calling him the "King of Supporting Actors" feels exactly right to me. More than 165 films and decades on TVB is the kind of body of work that shapes an entire era of viewing. I love performers who own the supporting role rather than chasing the spotlight, because they're often the glue that makes a cast believable. His passing in October 2025 closed a remarkable run. For me, his legacy is proof that being the dependable second lead can be just as memorable as headlining.
