My Take

I'll be honest — Taron Egerton completely blindsided me. When Kingsman dropped in 2014, nobody was ready for a scrappy Welsh kid from Birkenhead to walk in and own an entire spy franchise with that kind of swagger and charm. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and you can feel it — there's real craft underneath all the flash. Then he went and played Elton John in Rocketman and actually sang the songs himself, winning a Golden Globe for it, and at that point I had to accept this guy is just genuinely talented on multiple levels. He's the rare actor who feels completely lived-in whether he's doing action, comedy, or raw emotion, and I think he's still only scratching the surface of what he can do.
