My Take
Tom Parker's story moves me every time I revisit it. As a member of The Wanted he helped deliver two UK number-one singles, then chased a solo path before his life was cut tragically short at just 33 in 2022. What stays with me is not the chart success but the courage he showed singing and living openly through illness. From Bolton to the global pop stage, he packed a great deal into a brief career. Voices like his do not simply vanish; they live on in the people who loved the songs. I count him among the genuinely good ones.
