My Take

Tony Cavalero is the kind of character actor I find myself watching for. His turn as Keefe on The Righteous Gemstones and his uncanny Ozzy Osbourne in The Dirt show a performer who commits fully to oddball energy and disappears into it. Comedy training tends to sharpen timing in a way that pays off everywhere, and you can feel that instinct whenever he is on screen. He may never carry the marquee, but actors like him are the connective tissue that makes ensemble shows actually sing. I have a soft spot for the dependable scene-stealer, and he is squarely one of them.
