Tracy Reed

Tracy Reed played General Turgidson's secretary and mistress in Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove, and she came from a film family as the daughter of director Anthony Pelissier and stepdaughter of Carol Reed. Born Clare Tracy Compton Pelissier and gone in 2012, she worked in film and television from 1960 to 1976. I have a soft spot for performers who worked without much fanfare, the ones who quietly held scenes together while bigger names took the credit. Their contribution to the films of their era is real, and I tip my hat to her.
