My Take

Willam Belli is fascinating to me precisely because she leaned into being the disruptor. Being the first contestant disqualified from RuPaul's Drag Race could have been a footnote, but she turned notoriety into a sprawling career across acting, music, comedy and YouTube. I respect performers who refuse to sand down their edges to be likable. There is real entrepreneurial nerve in building a brand out of being unapologetically too much. Whether or not you find her polished, you cannot accuse her of playing it safe, and that conviction is what keeps my attention on her.
