Agyness Deyn

What I find compelling about Agyness Deyn is the deliberate reinvention. She was one of the defining models of the 2000s, the kind of face that came to stand in for a whole era of fashion, and she could easily have coasted on that. Instead she walked away from modelling and rebuilt herself as an actor and designer. That takes a certain stubbornness I respect. Born Laura Hollins in Littleborough, she traded a recognizable brand for the uncertainty of starting over, and to me that says more about her than any runway ever could. I'm curious to see where the second act leads.
