Alban Lenoir

What hooks me about Alban Lenoir is the stuntman in his DNA. This Dijon native came up doing the dangerous, physical work before moving into writing and leading roles, earning a Lumiere nomination for French Blood in 2015. Performers who have lived on the technical side of a set tend to carry a rare authenticity once they step in front of the camera, because they understand the choreography and the pain of action firsthand. He feels like a rugged, versatile leading man still building toward his best work. I have a real weakness for self-made, multi-skilled actors, and Lenoir is one to watch.
