My Take
Demie's Maddy Perez is the kind of performance that defines a show as much as its leads do, all coiled volatility and wounded glamour, and she made the character impossible to look away from. There's a deliberate mystique to her whole persona, including some genuine fog around her actual age, and she's smart enough to let that work for her rather than against. Her turns in Waves and Mid90s showed range beyond the bombshell archetype people want to box her into. She picks projects with real directors and seems in no rush, which I respect. I think she's only scratched the surface of what she can do on camera.
