Alice Wetterlund

Alice Wetterlund is my kind of performer, a Minnesota stand-up who brings the timing of a comedy club to everything she touches. Her Carla on Silicon Valley cut through that room full of tech bros with a bluntness only live comedy can sharpen, and D'arcy on Resident Alien shows the same fearless edge. As a podcast host she trades on exactly that gift for off-script speed. Comedians who turn to acting tend to carry an unshakeable nerve, and I'll always have a soft spot for that hard-won resilience; it gives her work a spine you can't fake.
