My Take

Amala Paul interests me because she refuses to stay in the lane South Indian cinema often assigns its actresses. The trophy shelf, including a Tamil Nadu State Film Award, a Filmfare Award South and two SIIMA wins, proves the acting chops, but her move into producing is what really catches my eye.
