Amit Trivedi

Amit Trivedi is, to me, one of the most quietly exciting figures in Indian film music. I love that he came up through theatre scores and advertising jingles before his 2008 breakout with Aamir; that grounding shows in how textured and unpredictable his work feels. Winning both Filmfare and National Film Awards confirms he is no flash in the pan. What interests me most is his refusal to stay in one lane, composing, writing lyrics, and singing all at once. There is a restless craftsmanship here that rewards repeat listening, and I find myself wanting to follow wherever he goes next.
