Andrea Thompson

Andrea Thompson interests me precisely because she refused to stay in one lane. After building a recognizable run on Babylon 5, NYPD Blue, JAG and 24, she walked away from acting and into journalism, a switch that takes real nerve. To me it suggests her core impulse was never fame but the act of communicating something true, whether through a scripted role or a news desk. As an actress, writer and reporter rolled into one, she strikes me as a restless curiosity that simply would not be boxed in, and I find that kind of reinvention far more compelling than any single credit.
