My Take
Andrew Schulz is one of the most interesting comedians working today because he built his career on his own terms. A New Yorker and UC Santa Barbara grad, he leaned into podcasts like Flagrant and The Brilliant Idiots and even self-released a special when the industry hesitated. His instinct for distribution is as sharp as his crowd work. His confrontational, taboo-poking style isn't for everyone, but I respect the nerve and the independence behind it. He represents a modern breed of performer who trusts the audience directly instead of waiting for permission, and that entrepreneurial backbone is what keeps me watching.
