Anthony Daniels

Honestly, Anthony Daniels might be the most underrated performance artist in film history — the man spent decades inside a rigid golden suit, barely able to walk, unable to blink, and yet somehow made C-3PO one of the most beloved characters in cinema. He was a trained mime artist before George Lucas came calling, which is probably the only reason that role was even survivable. What gets me is that he initially didn't want the part and had to be convinced by concept art — and then he showed up to every single mainline Star Wars film from 1977 all the way through The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. That's eleven films, animated series, and cameos spanning over forty years of commitment to one character. You never see his face, but you absolutely feel his presence.
