My Take
Scott Kelly is the sort of figure I find easy to admire without reservation. A naval aviator turned astronaut who commanded the ISS three times, his decorations speak to a life lived at the edge of risk. But the detail that fascinates me is the twin study: with his brother on the ground, his year in orbit became a rare natural experiment on what spaceflight does to the human body. He effectively turned himself into data for the Mars generation. That blend of personal courage and scientific generosity is, to me, exactly what a modern explorer should be.
