My Take

Artem Dzyuba at 196 cm is less a striker than a moving tower, and I can only imagine how miserable he's been to defend. He came up at Spartak Moscow, scored heavily there, won the 2013-14 Russian Cup on loan at Rostov, and became a genuine star and Russia's go-to forward. The blogging side is interesting too, an athlete who broadcasts as much as he plays. What I keep wondering is how a man this physical reinvents himself after football. That sheer presence on the pitch deserves a second act somewhere else.

Overview

Artem (or Artyom) Sergeyevich Dzyuba (Russian: Артём Сергеевич Дзюба, pronounced [ɐˈrtʲɵm sʲɪrˈɡʲe(j)ɪvʲɪdʑ ˈdzʲubə]; born 22 August 1988) is a Russian professional footballer who plays as a striker. He began his career with Spartak Moscow, debuting in 2006 and making 166 appearances and scoring 38 goals. He also had two loans each at Tom Tomsk and Rostov, winning the 2013–14 Russian Cup with the latter.
