My Take

I'll admit I underestimated this guy at first glance, and that's on me. A kid from coastal Tokushima ends up suiting up as a genius-physicist Kamen Rider in Build, and honestly that career swerve still makes me grin. There's a sparkle in his eyes when he locks into a role that just reads as confidence, and that clean-cut face is a bit of a trap, because he can dial up a shadier, wounded register when a part calls for it. Plenty of actors come out of the Rider pipeline, but the ones who keep grinding and quietly widen their range earn my respect, and I think he's one of them. I get the feeling he's not done leveling up. He's the kind of performer I'd keep one eye on.
