Atticus Shaffer

What strikes me most about Atticus Shaffer is how completely he disappeared into Brick Heck without ever feeling like a gimmick. Child actors usually trade on cuteness; Shaffer traded on stillness, timing, and an oddball interiority that felt genuinely lived-in. I also admire how he pivoted toward voice work, from Edgar in Frankenweenie to Ono in The Lion Guard, which suggests a performer who understands his own instrument rather than chasing leading-man fantasies. He keeps a low profile, builds a niche, and seems content being excellent in it. In an industry that chews up former child stars, that kind of self-knowledge reads to me like quiet wisdom, and I respect it enormously.
