My Take
Austin St. John, born Jason Geiger, will always be the original Red Ranger to a generation, and I find real dignity in that. Carrying a children's franchise demands a particular kind of unglamorous commitment, and his martial-arts grounding gave those fights an authenticity most TV action lacks. What interests me is the quiet steadiness of a Roswell, New Mexico kid who became a hero to millions yet never seemed to chase the spotlight. He is not a flashy actor, but he is a reliable, earnest one, and I respect performers who simply show up and deliver for their fans.
