B. Unnikrishnan

What draws me to B. Unnikrishnan is how thoroughly he embeds himself in the Malayalam film machine: director, writer, distributor, exhibitor all at once. That kind of multi-hyphenate isn't glamour, it's stewardship of an entire regional industry. I find people who quietly keep a film culture running far more interesting than the marquee names, because their fingerprints are everywhere yet rarely credited. Born in 1970 and trained at home in Kerala, he represents the unsung backbone of Indian cinema. I'd happily dig into his filmography, because directors who also understand the business side often make the most grounded, durable work.
