Bam Margera

Margera is a figure I can't watch without a pang of feeling. As one of the breakout stars of Jackass, he committed to physical comedy and skateboarding with a fearlessness that bordered on genius in the early 2000s. There was real charisma in how completely he threw himself into chaos. But the brighter the public flame, the harder the private battles often are, and his story carries that weight. I'm drawn to his restless range, skater turned director, producer and writer, and honestly I just find myself hoping he finds steadier ground.
