Benedetta Porcaroli

Benedetta Porcaroli strikes me as one of the most exciting young talents in Italian cinema right now. Breaking out as Chiara in Netflix's Baby could have trapped her in safe teen-drama territory, but instead she leaned into demanding material, from 18 Presents to The Catholic School to the horror of Immaculate. I admire actors who treat early fame as a springboard for risk rather than comfort, and her choices show real nerve and taste. Still in her twenties, she feels poised for a genuine international breakthrough, and I would happily back her now before everyone else does.
