My Take

I always found Benoît Paire one of the most watchable players on tour, and not just for the tennis. He cracked the top 20 in early 2016 and won three titles, but his appeal was the unpredictability between the points. That said, I think his peak hints at what might have been with more consistency, because the talent for clean ball-striking was obvious. Standing 196 cm, the Avignon native could overpower opponents on a good day and look completely disengaged on a bad one. For me he's a reminder that flair and results don't always travel together.
