My Take
Okay, I'm a little obsessed with Iyo Sky. Here's a woman from Kamakura who spent years grinding through Japanese joshi wrestling, then crossed an ocean to a country whose language and culture weren't hers, and just refused to be overlooked. She isn't the loudest person on the mic, and honestly that's why I love her: she lets the work talk. That aerial game is ridiculous, all snap and precision, and there's this quiet steel under the grace that makes you sit up. I'll always root for the smaller competitor who fearlessly launches herself at someone twice her size, and she does it with total composure. To me she's the craftsman archetype, the one who wins over a crowd by being undeniably good rather than flashy. That stubborn, prove-it grit is just deeply admirable.
