My Take
Bo Bichette fascinates me because his swing looks like pure appetite. A second-round pick who out-hit his draft slot, twice leading the American League in hits, he plays with the joyful aggressiveness of someone who refuses to let a punishable pitch go by. Growing up in a baseball family could have made him a footnote to his father's career; instead he built his own identity, hair flying, bat wrapping around everything near the zone. Now with the Mets, he carries that Toronto-built reputation into a bigger spotlight. I suspect his best and most complete seasons are still ahead of him.
