My Take
For anyone who grew up on pro wrestling, Bret Hart is a sacred name. The Hitman came out of Calgary's storied Hart dynasty and won the world over not with spectacle but with the sheer credibility of his work in the ring. His self-billing as the best there is, was, and ever will be sounds like bravado until you watch the technical mastery behind it. I love that he reinvented himself afterward as an author and journalist, proving the mind matched the body. From the WWE Hall of Fame to Canada's Walk of Fame, the honors are deserved. He is, simply, a legend I salute.
