My Take
Bridget Fonda is, to me, the essence of nineties cinema: the creeping dread of Single White Female, the lethal vulnerability of Point of No Return, the sun-baked cool of Jackie Brown. Born into Hollywood's most storied acting dynasty, she never leaned on the name; her choices were odd, risky, and personal, which is exactly why great directors wanted her. Then she simply walked away, retiring quietly rather than fading in public. I respect that exit enormously. Most careers end by erosion; hers ended by decision. Watching her films now feels like opening a time capsule, and she remains one of my favorite what-ifs.
