My Take

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is a player I follow with a mix of admiration and ache. Breaking through at Manchester United, one of the biggest stages in the sport, is something most footballers only dream about, yet his path since has wound through a string of clubs down to the National League. The gap between that early promise and the present reality is the hard truth of professional football. But I respect that he keeps playing, refusing to treat one closed door as the end of the story. At his age there is still room to write a second chapter, and I am rooting for it.
