My Take

My take on Cara Delevingne is that the eyebrows were never the real story — the refusal was. She entered a fashion industry that prized blankness and insisted on being loud, goofy, and visibly herself, which paradoxically made her the most bookable face of her era, with Model of the Year wins in 2012 and 2014 to prove it. The pivot into acting and music struck some as restlessness; I read it as honesty about being bigger than one frame. Not every project has landed, but I would rather watch someone overreach with personality than coast on cheekbones. She keeps choosing the interesting risk.
