My Take

Cathy Cavadini is exactly the kind of artist I love to celebrate, the voice you know by heart without ever knowing the face. As the original Blossom on The Powerpuff Girls and Tanya in An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, she lodged herself in millions of childhoods through sound alone. I have enormous respect for voice actors; breathing a whole personality into a character with nothing but tone takes a craft that goes badly underappreciated. From Los Alamitos High School to lasting animation history is a quiet triumph. Anyone who can make people smile with a voice alone has my full admiration.
