My Take

Charles Kushner is one of those figures where the biography reads like a screenplay nobody would greenlight for being too on-the-nose. He built Kushner Companies into one of New Jersey's major real-estate operations, then spectacularly blew it up with a 2005 federal conviction — including a witness-tampering scheme involving a hired escort and his own brother-in-law — that got him disbarred and sent to federal prison. Most careers would end there.
