Chatri Sityodtong

Chatri Sityodtong is one of those rare people who actually lived the hero's journey — grew up poor, clawed his way to Tufts and Harvard Business School, then turned his obsession with martial arts into ONE Championship, the organization that put Asian combat sports on the global map. I find it genuinely impressive that he didn't just write a check and hire promoters; he trains Muay Thai himself, competes in sparring, and brings that fighter's mentality to every business decision. Whether you think ONE's production is slick or over-the-top, you can't deny he built something from scratch that legitimized Southeast Asian athletes who had no real international stage before. Being named among Asia's Most Influential in both 2021 and 2022 feels well-earned for a guy who turned a passion project into a billion-dollar enterprise.
