My Take
Christine Elise will forever be Emily Valentine to a certain generation, the slightly dangerous, gum-snapping disruptor who shook up Beverly Hills, 90210. That arc was a genuinely memorable chapter of early-1990s teen television. But I appreciate that she didn't just coast on that fame; her turn in Child's Play 2 made her a horror favorite, and she later pivoted to writing and directing, which is the move I always respect from actors who want more creative control. She has a wry, self-aware public voice too. A solid, underappreciated talent from that era.
