Christopher Chaplin

Christopher Chaplin lives in one of the longest shadows imaginable, as the youngest son of Charlie Chaplin and grandson of Eugene O'Neill. With a lineage like that, almost anything he does gets read through his father first. That's why I respect that he built his own path as a composer, working in sound rather than slapstick, and stands behind his own name and website. Choosing music over the obvious comedic inheritance feels like a quiet refusal to coast on the family legend. There's a particular kind of courage in carving your own voice under such a name, and I find myself quietly rooting for him.
