Marwin Hitz

There is something I quietly admire about a goalkeeper, and Marwin Hitz fits the mold perfectly. At 194 cm, the Swiss keeper from St. Gallen built a long career out of the least glamorous job on the pitch: standing alone, absorbing the pressure, and rescuing everyone else's mistakes with a single save. Goalkeepers rarely get the headlines, yet a team falls apart without a reliable one. I find his kind of steady, unflashy professionalism genuinely compelling. He never had to be the star; he just had to be there, and for years he was. That is its own quiet form of greatness.
