Cody Simpson

Cody Simpson is one of those rare entertainers who refuses to be boxed in. A Gold Coast kid who broke through as a teen pop star, he could have coasted on early fame forever, yet he's released four solo albums and then genuinely chased competitive swimming as an adult athlete. That willingness to risk a comfortable identity for a harder one is what earns my respect. With a new record reportedly due in 2026, I read him as someone who keeps reinventing rather than repeating, and that makes him worth watching.
