My Take

Sharni Vinson is a born entertainer, and I mean that as the highest compliment. A Sydney native who models, sings, dances, and acts, she made her name on Home and Away, showcased real movement in Step Up 3D, and then proved her grit as a resourceful heroine in the cult horror You're Next. Dancers who act tend to inhabit the frame with a physical fluency others lack, and she has it. I am always drawn to performers who leave a national comfort zone to chase bigger stages without losing their edge, and Vinson clearly did exactly that.
