My Take
I have a real soft spot for Dave England. A former professional snowboarder from Ojai, California, who turned physical recklessness into comedy on Jackass, he is easy to dismiss as merely crude. I see it differently. The athleticism behind his stunts and his sheer willingness to put his own body on the line make him a genuine performer, not just a clown. There is a strange purity to making people laugh using nothing but yourself and your nerve. He earned every bruise, and I respect anyone who commits that completely to the bit.
