My Take

Denis Makarov intrigues me as a young player willing to leave home and prove himself abroad. Born in 1998 in Tolyatti, he now plies his trade as a right midfielder for Kayserispor in Turkey's Super Lig, and I have real respect for anyone who tests themselves in a foreign league with a different language and culture. As a wide attacking player he likely lives on pace and trickery, the kind of footballer who lights up the flank.
