Devi Sri Prasad

Devi Sri Prasad is one of those composers whose work I admire for its sheer infectious energy. As a triple threat who composes, writes lyrics, and sings, he has shaped the sound of Telugu cinema in a way few others have, and the pile of Filmfare Awards backs that up. What I find compelling is how unabashedly festive his melodies feel; they grab you by the ankles and make you move before you understand the language. For listeners intimidated by Indian film music, DSP is the perfect doorway. There is craft beneath the fun, and I respect an artist who can be both populist and genuinely skilled.
