My Take

Diant Ramaj intrigues me as a player still writing his story. Born in Stuttgart in 2001, a 189 cm German goalkeeper of Kosovan heritage, he is owned by Borussia Dortmund yet learning his trade on loan at Heidenheim. Goalkeeping is a craft of patience, and going out to play real minutes while young is exactly the right move. I am drawn to the arc of a son of immigrants chasing the top of German football, and to the lonely discipline of the man who guards the goal at the very back.
