My Take
Okay, so sumo is supposed to be this slow grind where you claw up the rankings over years, and then Daiki Ōnosato shows up and just... skips the line. I did a genuine double-take at how fast he climbed. The man is 192cm of pure forward momentum, the kind of wrestler who doesn't bother with fancy footwork because why would he when he can just walk you off the dohyo. If I were across from him I'd be planning my exit before the bout even started. And there's something about the Ishikawa thing that gets me, that quiet, steady, head-down northern work ethic baked right into him. Honestly the yokozuna title impresses me less than that gritty, dug-in face he makes at the edge. He's young. I'm just here for the ride to see how scary-good he gets.
