My Take

Ashba always struck me as one of those guitarists who understood that image and showmanship matter as much as the riff itself. Stepping into the Guns N' Roses lineup post-Slash was a thankless, no-win gig, and while purists never fully accepted him, I respected that he committed fully and brought a real arena-rock energy to those years. His work in Sixx:A.M. is honestly where his songwriting shines, blending hooks with theatrical melodrama. He has the look, the flair, and the entrepreneurial streak of a classic Sunset Strip survivor who reinvented himself instead of fading out.
